Empties: January 2015

Good evening lovelies! It has definitely been a while since I have done any sort of empties post/video, so I definitely thought it was about time to empty my bag out and see what kind of goodies I have used up since last time! However, this time around, instead of talking about every little thing I've used up I'm going to focus on six of my faves/least faves.

1.Formula 10.0.6 Keep Me Clean Makeup Removing Wipes: These have a light scent of cucumber and feel amazing on my skin. I received these in a sampler pack I got at Ulta. They take my makeup off, clean my face and make my skin feel awesome afterward! Definitely plan on repurchasing!
2. Urban Decay Primer Potion in Greed (Vintage bottle travel size): I love the gold color of this primer potion. I received this as a gift from my sister in law nearly 2 years ago and  I just now finished it!! It was my first taste of Urban Decay and I bought my full size tube from Ulta
3. Biolage Exquisite Oil Shampoo: I really loved this sample of shampoo. It made my hair feel and look completely amazing. It was full of body and nourished and just beautiful. I definitely would like to purchase this in a full size bottle!
4. Murad Perfecting Night Cream: I honestly was not too happy with this one. It smells bad and I honestly had to wash it off immediately because I could not handle the stench. Luckily, this was only a sample pack so I didn't have to shell out any money for it!
5. Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Mud Mask: This mask smells just like fresh oranges and makes my skin glow afterward.
6. Covergirl Bombshell Mascara: I received this mascara free from an Influenster Voxbox back in May of 2014. I love the length and volume that this mascara gave me. However, this was supposed to be waterproof and it definitely was not! I was fine when I didn't wear foundation, but if I did wear any kind of liquid foundation, I would end up with raccoon eyes. That is definitely not pretty. Covergirl needs to work on this formula to truly make it waterproof. I have never had issues like that with any of their other mascaras.

If you guys have questions regarding any of the other empties items you see pictured, please leave a comment below! I answer all comments/questions! :)

Review: Stila In The Moment Eye Palette

Happy New Year!! Today, I want to talk about an awesome palette I got from Ulta during their 21 days of beauty sale. I am new to Stila cosmetics, but I decided to pick up the Stila "In the Moment" palette. It originally sells for $39 and it was on sale for $20. So, of course I couldn't pass this up and I have to say I don't think I have put this thing down since I got it. It has 10 beautifully pigmented shadows that can be used wet or dry and it comes with a full size smudge-proof, waterproof eye liner in a coordinating shade. These are primarily shimmer shades with 2 really good highlighting choices.

The top row kicks off with Instinct which is a beautifully frosted white color. I love using it on my brow bone as well as dusting a little on my cheekbones to add a bright highlight. Next is Impulse It is a very light purple and great for everyday wear (especially for a green eyed girl such as myself). Next to that is Glance. It is a bright violet color with really beautiful shimmer. I love using this one as liner. Next is Improvise, it is a really nice dark plum color with pink shimmer. The first row ends with Catalyst. It is black with pink glitter.
The bottom row kicks off with Desire, a flesh tone pink that is great for a brow highlight. Next is one of my favorite colors in the palette. It is called Wonder. It is a gorgeous (and when I say gorgeous, I mean GORGEOUS) pink color with lots of beautiful shimmer. Next is Spontaneous, a beautiful glimmering gold shade. A red-brown shade called Whim is next and finally Captivate ends it with its beautiful purple-brown with golden shimmer. I love the colors in this palette and the little booklet they include with instructions on how to create different looks totally takes the cake! I also love that this palette includes a FULL SIZE Smudge Stick Waterproof eyeliner pencil in Tetra. It is a great deep purple eyeliner that compliments the colors in the palette beautifully!

New Year, New You! Making and breaking those New Years resolutions.

Good evening lovelies! I am on the phone sitting by the bonfire typing this to post first thing in the morning. As we say goodbye to 2014, I am sure we have all been thinking about those New Years resolutions for 2015 (and how long is it going to take to break them). We always seem to break them within the first few weeks and become disappointed in ourselves. However, the disappointment stops this year. Instead, I challenge you to do your best at obtaining your goals and praising yourself for the strides you do make towards that goal even if you don't completely meet them. I know I have goals of paying bills and losing weight. I may not have payed all of my bills off in 2014 or even lost all of the weight I wish to lose, but I did pay off a bill in full and lost (and kept off even through the holidays) a good 15-20 pounds. I should not be hating and being disappointed in myself for these strides towards my goal. So for 2015, let's work on bettering ourselves by praising ourselves for our strides and promising ourselves to keep working hard towards our life's ambitions.

Happy New Year!!

Ins and Outs

Good evening everyone! Today is just a relaxing day of blogging, so I decided to do a fun ins and outs post. Just a few things I'm loving and hating lately.

  • My Sweet Puppy, Cane: You just HAVE to love my dopey boy's sweet face :)
  • Brookside Dark Chocolate Crunchy Clusters Berry Medley: My sweet addiction of the moment.
  • Gossip Girl: I have been watching the series on Netflix and what can I say? I'm addicted!
  • Claire's: I can honestly say I love my job and I couldn't be happier! Plus, they have adorable jewelry!! :)
  • Long walks: Lately, I have been taking 3 mile walks to give myself time to think/clear my head, listen to music, and of course be healthy!
  • Berry Lips: Berry/Wine colored lipsticks are always my favorite lip color to rock for Fall!
  • Matte Lips: I finally got one of the Nyx Matte Lip Creams during the latest 40% of sale at Ulta, it's absolutely gorgeous!

  • Bipolar weather: If you live in the south, you know how crazy the weather can be, especially in the late summer/early fall. Some days it's a nice mid 60s others, you are in the 80s...altogether, it's not fun.
  • Dry lips: As the cool weather (slowly) approaches, also comes the time of chapped lips. I for one have been loving the matte lip colors (Nyx Matte Lip Cream) that have been around recently, however, they aren't so pretty when they are over dry, cracked lips :(
  • Fur: As much as I love my fur babies, I hate their fur constantly on my
Leggings as pants: I'm sorry ladies but there is nothing cute about your panty line showing cause you choose to wear leggings as pants. They are meant to be worn under short dresses/tunics to keep your booty from showing when you bend over. Your top should always cover the front and back when you wear leggings. Period.
